Where can I find the Vehicle Identification Number for my Lincoln?
You can typically find your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) in your vehicle and its documents, or by using your SYNC®* screen, the Lincoln app, or your Lincoln Account.
Note: The letters I, O, and Q are not included in a VIN to avoid confusion with the numbers 1 (One) and 0 (Zero).
Locating Your Vehicle's VIN
Select the method you are using from the drop-down options below to discover how to locate your VIN:
Vehicle or Documents
You may find your VIN on your:
- Driver's side doorjamb.
- Windshield (lower, driver's side corner).
- Vehicle documentation (e.g., registration, insurance policy, and lease contract).
Note: The VIN location varies by model for vehicles made in 1967 or older. You may find the VIN on the driver's side doorjamb, inside the glove compartment, on the right-hand dash panel, or on the top left-hand side of the frame between the steering gearbox and firewall.
SYNC Screen
- Tap Settings on the in-vehicle SYNC screen.
- Select General.
- Press About SYNC.
The Lincoln App
- Log in to the Lincoln app.
- Navigate to your Vehicle screen.
Note: If you have multiple vehicles, choose one from your garage.
- Select Vehicle Details under the Settings section.
The VIN will appear under your vehicle's name.
Lincoln Account
- Log in to your Account on Lincolncanada.com.
- Press on My Lincoln in the top right corner.
- Tap on Register/Sign In.
- Select a vehicle.
The VIN will be displayed below an image of your vehicle.
