How can I get a spare key for my Lincoln vehicle?
You can make a spare key if you have two previously programmed Intelligent Access Keys or Integrated Keyhead Transmitters. If you do not have two of these types of keys, you can visit your Lincoln Retailer or Ford Dealer to have a key made.
Purchasing a Key
To purchase a key, contact your Lincoln Retailer or Ford Dealer.
For security reasons, you must visit the dealer in person and provide proof of identification and vehicle ownership:
- Government-issued personal identification (e.g., a valid Driver's License, state-issued picture I.D., or passport).
- Vehicle documentation with the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and the name of the person seeking the key codes (e.g., a current Vehicle Registration, current Certificate of Automobile Insurance, Vehicle Title, or Bill of Sale).
Programming a Key
If you already have two previously programmed keys, you can program a spare key using the procedures outlined in the Programming a Spare Intelligent Access Key or the Programming a Spare Integrated Keyhead Transmitter section of your Owner's Manual.
