How do I program a personal keyless entry code for my Lincoln?

You can create up to five personalized keyless entry codes that are easy to remember using the keypad on the door or your SYNC®* system (if equipped).

You will need the original 5-digit keyless entry code. You can find it printed on the owner’s wallet card in the glove compartment or through one of the other methods here.

Creating Your Personal Keyless Entry Code

Notes:

  • Do not set a code that uses five of the same number.
  • Do not use five numbers in sequential order (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
  • The factory-set code will work even if you have set your personal code.

Programming a Personal Keyless Entry Code With the Keypad

To program your keyless entry code with your vehicle's keypad:

  1. Enter the 5-digit factory-set code.
  2. Press 1•2 on the keypad within 5 seconds.
  3. Enter your personal 5-digit code. You must enter each number within 5 seconds of each other.
  4. Press 1•2 on the keypad to save personal code 1. 

The doors will lock and unlock to confirm that you have successfully programmed a personal entry code.

Programming Additional Personal Keyless Entry Codes With the Keypad

To program additional keyless entry codes with your vehicle's keypad:

  1. Enter the 5-digit factory-set code.
  2. Press:
    • 3•4 to save personal code 2.
    • 5•6 to save personal code 3.
    • 7•8 to save personal code 4.
    • 9•0 to save personal code 5.
  3. Enter your personal 5-digit code. You must enter each number within 5 seconds of each other.

Programming a Keyless Entry Code with SYNC 3

If your vehicle is equipped with SYNC 3, you can set your 5-digit keyless entry code using the touchscreen:

  1. Select Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Choose the Vehicle tile.
  3. Tap Door Keypad Code.
  4. Enter the factory-set 5-digit entry code to edit the keypad code.
  5. Press Add.
  6. Follow the prompts to add your personal code(s).

Programming a Keyless Entry Code with SYNC with MyLincoln Touch®

If your vehicle is equipped with SYNC with MyLincoln Touch, you can set your 5-digit keyless entry code using the touchscreen:

  1. Tap the Gear icon on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Select Vehicle.
  3. Choose Door Keypad Code.
  4. Enter your 5-digit factory code.
  5. Press Add.
  6. Follow the prompts to program up to five personal codes.
