Why does my Lincoln retailer charge a diagnostic fee?

A Lincoln Retailer's service department may request a payment of a diagnostic fee which covers the labour cost to determine the cause of a vehicle's concern. 

If the repair is covered under an applicable warranty, extended service plan, recall, or customer satisfaction program, the diagnostic fee may be waived.

If a repair is not covered under an applicable program, the diagnostic becomes part of the repair cost and at the client's charge. These charges are not determined by Lincoln of Canada and must be discussed between the retailer and the client.
