How does Hill Start Assist work on my Lincoln?

Hill Start Assist automatically activates to help prevent your vehicle from rolling backward when stopped on a hill or slope by maintaining pressure on your brakes. This gives you time to move your foot from the brake to the gas pedal.

When you take your foot off the brake pedal, your vehicle will stay in place without rolling for about 2 seconds to give you time to drive away. When you press the accelerator, the brakes will automatically release.

Note: Hill Start Assist also works when your vehicle is in reverse.

For more information specific to your vehicle, refer to your Owner's Manual.
