How do I request vehicle authorization to use the Lincoln Way App?
To activate Remote Commands, you will need to request access to an activated vehicle via the Lincoln Way®* App. Follow the instructions below.
Request Vehicle Access
Select your Lincoln Way App experience below for more details on how to request vehicle access.
Lincoln Way 4.X Experience
To request authorization access:
- Open the Lincoln Way App.
- Select Activate Vehicle.
- Tap Request Authorization if you will be an additional command user.
Note: A message will be sent to all current activated users and they will receive a message in their account of your request.
Once approved, you will have command access.
Note: If you want to activate a vehicle and remove all existing activated users, you can perform a Master Reset.
Lincoln Way 5.X Experience
To request shared access:
- Open the Lincoln Way App.
- Select Connect to Vehicle.
- Tap Request shared access if you will be an additional user.
Notes:- A message will be sent to all authorized drivers.
- If you want to connect to a vehicle and remove all current users, you can perform a reset.
You can check the status of your request by clicking Check My Access Request.
