How do I remote start using the Lincoln Way®* App or the key fob?
The remote start feature allows you to start your vehicle from up to 300 feet away. You can remotely start your vehicle using the Lincoln Way App or your key fob transmitter.
Remote Start Your Vehicle
Select your method from the drop-down options below to remote start your vehicle:
Using the Lincoln Way App
To use remote commands with the Lincoln Way App:
- Your vehicle must have Lincoln Connect®** (embedded modem).
- Your vehicle must be added to the Lincoln Way App.
- Your Lincoln Connect modem is activated.
Remote start your vehicle using the App:
- Select the Home icon on the bottom left of the screen.
- Press and hold the Engine Start button to start your vehicle.
- An alert will be displayed once your vehicle has started successfully.
- The alert banner displays for 10 seconds. This feature will also inform you when your vehicle will automatically shut off.
- After selecting engine start, your vehicle can run for 5, 10, or 15 minutes before shutting off.
- You can configure your run duration.
- You will be notified if your vehicle fails to shut off automatically.
Using the Key Fob
Remote start your vehicle using the key fob:
- Press the Lock button on your key fob to lock all the doors.
- Press the Remote Start button (2X) twice. Steps must be done within 3 seconds.
- The exterior lamps will flash twice, and the vehicle will start.
- For some vehicles, a light on your remote will let you know if your car has started.
- The horn will sound if the system fails to start unless Quiet Start is on. Quiet Start runs the blower fan at a slower speed to reduce noise. You can switch it on or off on the information display.
- The power windows will not work during the remote start, and the radio will not turn on automatically.
- The parking lamps will remain on, and the vehicle will run for 5, 10, or 15 minutes, depending on the setting.
Notes:
- Only use remote start when your vehicle is outside in a well-ventilated area.
- You can enable or disable the remote start system through the information display.
- Check your local and state laws for any restrictions on remote start systems.
