How do I add a vehicle to the Lincoln Way App?

You may add one or more vehicles to the Lincoln Way App®* by following the steps below. Adding a vehicle to Lincoln Way allows you to access features specific to your vehicle model, trim, and year.

Adding Your First Vehicle in Lincoln Way

Select your Lincoln Way experience from the dropdown options below for instructions to add your first vehicle to Lincoln Way.

Lincoln Way 4.X Experience

To add your first vehicle in the Lincoln Way App:

  1. Log in to the Lincoln Way App.
  2. Press Add My Vehicle.
  3. Enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) using one of the following methods:
    • Type in your VIN manually.
    • Select the camera icon to scan your VIN.

      Note: If you need help locating your VIN, tap the Where is my VIN? link.
       
  4. Select Next.

Your vehicle should appear on the Home screen.

Lincoln Way 5.X Experience

To add your first vehicle in the Lincoln Way App:

  1. Log in to the Lincoln Way App.
  2. Press Add Vehicle.
  3. Choose one of the following options on the pop-up message for camera access:
    • Selecting Allow will allow Lincoln Way to access your phone's camera. 

      Note: The scan window will appear to capture your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and route you to the Vehicle screen.
       
    • Selecting Don't Allow will prevent Lincoln Way from accessing your camera and you will need to type in your VIN.
      1. Tap Enter VIN Manually.

        Note: If you need help locating your VIN, tap the Where is my VIN? link.
         
      2. Enter your VIN.
      3. Select Next.

Your vehicle should appear in the garage.

Adding Additional Vehicles in Lincoln Way

Select your Lincoln Way experience from the dropdown options below for instructions to add additional vehicles to Lincoln Way.

Lincoln Way 4.X Experience

To add another vehicle in the Lincoln Way App:

  1. Log in to the Lincoln Way App.
  2. Go to the Home screen. 
  3. Select the drop-down arrow to the right of your vehicle name.
  4. Tap Add Vehicle. 

    Note: You can also add a vehicle on the Account tab by selecting the + next to the My Vehicles section. 
     
  5. Enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) using one of the following methods:
    • Type in your VIN manually.
    • Select the camera icon to scan your VIN.

      Note: If you need help locating your VIN, tap the Where is my VIN? link.
       
  6. Select Next.

Your vehicle should appear in the drop-down menu on the Home screen. 

Lincoln Way 5.X Experience

To add another vehicle in the Lincoln Way App:

  1. Log in to the Lincoln Way App.

  2. If you already have a vehicle selected, tap the Garage icon in the top right-hand corner.

    Note: The garage will load by default if you have not previously selected a vehicle.

  3. Tap the Add Vehicle button. 
  4. Press one of the following options on the pop-up message:
    • Selecting Allow will allow Lincoln Way to access your phone's camera. 

      Note: The scan window will appear to capture your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and route you to the Vehicle screen.
       
    • Selecting Don't Allow will prevent Lincoln Way from accessing your camera and you will need to type in your VIN.
      1. Tap Enter VIN Manually. 

        Note: If you need help locating your VIN, tap the Find Your VIN link.
         
      2. Enter your VIN.
      3. Select Next.

Your vehicle should appear in the Vehicle Garage.
