How do I control my Lincoln vehicle with Phone As A Key™*?
With your Lincoln Way®** App, you can use your Phone As A Key to manage remote controls like start, stop, and much more.
Important: Phone As A Key works best when your smartphone has a direct line of sight to your vehicle (i.e. Keep your phone “in-hand” rather than in a back pocket, handbag, or briefcase).
Phone As A Key Requirements
To use Phone As A Key with your Lincoln Way App, you must:
Be logged into the Lincoln Way App.
Note: Refer to What do I do if I am unable to log in to the Lincoln Way App? if you are experiencing difficulties logging in.
- Add a Phone As A Key equipped vehicle to the App.
- Activate its embedded modem.
- Have your phone set up as a Phone As A Key device.
- Have Connectivity Settings in the vehicle turned on.
- Have Bluetooth®† turned on.
- Have a supported mobile device running iOS†† 14.0+ or Android™‡ 8.0+.
- Have Bluetooth version 4.2+
Using Phone as a Key in the Lincoln Way App
To send remote commands to your vehicle, log in to your Lincoln Way App and:
- Navigate to the Home screen.
Locate the Remote Command keys under your vehicle's image.
Note: The following controls will appear based on your vehicle model and build:
- Start/Stop‡‡
- Windows Up/Downa
- Horn & Lights
- Frunk
- Trunk
- Press, hold, and release the respective key to send a request to your vehicle.
