How do I reset my Phone As A Key™*?

You can reset your Phone As A Key settings on your vehicle's on your vehicle's touchscreen using the steps below. 

Resetting Phone As A Key

Important: Ensure that your vehicle is on and running, in a well-ventilated area, and is in Park (P).

Based on your vehicle's touchscreen display, select Digital Experience or SYNC®** 4 from the drop-down options below for instructions on how to reset your Phone As A Key settings. If you need assistance determining the generation of your SYNC system, select the first drop-down option.

Identifying Your Lincoln's SYNC Generation

Select a resource in the table below to help you identify your vehicle's SYNC generation.

Either:

  • Enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and select Check for update.
  • Log in with your Lincoln credentials, choose a vehicle from your garage, and select Check for updates.

Your SYNC generation will appear on the right-hand side of the page.

Digital Experience

To reset Phone As A Key with Digital Experience:

  1. Select the Apps menu on your vehicle's touchscreen.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Choose System.
  4. Select Reset options.
  5. Tap Phone As A Key Reset.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the reset.

Note: For Android™† devices, you must clear application data/cache and reset Bluetooth®†† settings once the Phone As A Key reset is complete. Refer to your device's owner's manual for more information.

If you complete a Phone As A Key reset, you will need to set up Phone As A Key again to continue using the feature.

SYNC 4

To reset Phone As A Key with SYNC 4:

  1. Select Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Choose General.
  3. Tap Reset.
  4. Select Lincoln Connect®‡ Reset.
  5. Choose Phone As A Key Reset.
  6. Select Continue and wait for a "Reset Success" alert on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  7. Tap Close.

Note: For Android™† devices, you must clear application data/cache and reset Bluetooth®†† settings once the Phone As A Key reset is complete. Refer to your device's owner's manual for more information.

If you complete a Phone As A Key reset, you will need to set up Phone As A Key again to continue using the feature.
