What is Phone As A Key for my Lincoln vehicle?

Phone As A Key™* allows you to use your mobile device as a key fob with the Lincoln Way™** App.

Important: It is recommended to always have your key fob present when using Phone As A Key.

Phone As A Key Controls

In addition to your Remote Commands, you can also control the following:

  • Windows
  • Trunk or liftgate
  • Horn and lights
  • Start your vehicle
  • Virtual keys (up to four)

Phone As A Key Requirements

You must have:

  • An Apple®† device with Apple iOS®†† 13.0 or newer or an Android™‡ device with Android OS 8.0 or newer.
  • Bluetooth®‡‡ Low Energy (BLE) version 4.2 or newer on your device.
  • Bluetooth turned on at all times for correct operation.
  • The Lincoln Way App installed and running on your device with an active account.

    Important: Ensure your Lincoln Way App version is up to date.

  • Lincoln Way Connect®a and Phone As A Key activated prior to the first use of Phone As A Key.
  • Your Bluetooth-enabled device within 40 meters to authorize for use.
