Why is my activation pending in the Lincoln Way App®*?

If you tried to activate your vehicle's Lincoln Connect®** modem and received an Activation Pending status, use the troubleshooting steps below.

Important: 

  • Before attempting the troubleshooting steps below, ensure that your vehicle is on and not accessory mode, running in a well-ventilated area, and is in Park (P).
  • If you are a secondary user, you must request access from the primary user who will receive a message to approve or deny your access.
  • If you want to activate a vehicle and remove all existing activated users, you can perform a Master Reset

Troubleshooting Your Pending Access in the Lincoln Way App

If your modem activation is pending in the Lincoln Way App:

  1. Check your mobile device's cellular and Wi-Fi®† connection.
    • Wi-Fi connection 
      • If Wi-Fi is turned off, turn Wi-Fi on and attempt to connect.
      • If Wi-Fi is turned on, turn Wi-Fi off and attempt to connect using cellular data.
    • Cellular connection 
      • If cellular data is turned off, turn cellular data on and attempt to connect.
      • If cellular data is turned on, turn cellular data off and attempt to connect using Wi-Fi.
  2. Ensure you are not connected to Bluetooth®†† in your vehicle. If you are, disconnect Bluetooth and try the activation again.
  3. Wait at least 90 seconds for your vehicle to populate the acceptance prompt.

If you are still experiencing issues activating your modem, ensure you are logging into the correct Lincoln account. If you had access to the remote features before, you may already have an account registered to your authorized vehicle.
