What is the Lincoln Easy Fuel capless fuel filler?
The Easy Fuel® capless fuel filler feature eliminates the need for a fuel filler cap and allows you to easily insert the fuel nozzle. When fueling is completed, removing the nozzle causes the spring-loaded fuel filler to close and latch. The capless fuel filler system helps avoid splashback, fuel theft, and prevents fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere.
If you need to add fuel from a portable fuel container, use the fuel filler funnel included with your vehicle. As the location of the fuel filler funnel may vary depending on the model and year, refer to the section Fuel and Refueling of your Owner's Manual for information specific to your vehicle.
