How do I set up the memory feature of my Lincoln?

Program your vehicle's memory function using the numbered memory buttons located on the driver's door or your SYNC®* screen to automatically set the position of your driver's seat, power mirrors, steering column, and power-adjustable pedals (if equipped)**.

Note: Instructions may vary. Refer to your Owner's Manual for information specific to your vehicle.

Preset the Memory Feature With Your Door Buttons

Depending on your vehicle, you may be able to set two or three different memory positions for individual drivers.

  1. Switch the ignition on and leave the vehicle in park (P).
  2. Adjust your driver seat, power mirrors, steering column, and power-adjustable foot pedals to your preferred positions.
  3. Press and hold the SET button until you hear a single tone.
  4. Press and hold the preset numbered memory button you want to save your settings to until you hear another single tone. 
  5. Release the button once you hear an audible alert.

Preset the Memory Feature With Your SYNC Screen

To preset the memory function with a SYNC screen, you will need to create a personal profile:

  1. Switch the ignition on and leave the vehicle in park (P).
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Select the Personal Profiles.
  4. Follow the instructions on the display.

Once set up, you can save your preset memory positions to up to three remote controls, by assigning a remote control to a personal profile on your SYNC screen. 

  1. Switch the ignition on and leave the vehicle in park (P).
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Select the Personal Profiles.
  4. Use the arrow for the profile you wish to link to a remote control or mobile device.
  5. Choose the remote control or mobile device you want to link.
  6. Follow the instructions on the display.
