How do I activate my SYNC Connected Navigation trial?

To set up your SYNC®* 4 Connected Navigation** trial, download the Lincoln Way®† App and activate your Lincoln Connect ®†† modem. You will be automatically enrolled in the Connected Navigation trial once the modem is activated.

Notes:

  • Connected Navigation is only available for Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4.
  • The Connected Navigation trial starts on the vehicle's warranty start date, not the date the modem is activated.

Activate Your Connected Navigation Trial

Download the Lincoln Way App and activate your Lincoln Connect modem to set up your Connected Navigation trial.

  1. Download the Lincoln Way App on the App Store®‡ or Google Play™‡‡.

  2. Log in to the Lincoln Way App using your existing Lincoln Owner Account username and password or create an account.

    Note: If you are experiencing issues logging into your account, refer to How do I reset my Lincoln password?

  3. Add your Lincoln Connect-equipped vehicle to your profile.
  4. Activate your Lincoln Connect modem:
    1. Select Home.
    2. Tap Activate Vehicle.
    3. Read the pop-up notification and select Got it.
    4. Go to your vehicle and:
      • Start your vehicle.
      • Leave it running in Park (P).
    5. Accept the activation confirmation message on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
    6. Refresh the Home screen in the app by swiping down on your device screen.

Your Connected Navigation trial should now be activated.

*Don’t drive while distracted. Use voice-operated systems when possible; don’t use handheld devices while driving. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones. 

**Connected Navigation and Connected Built-In Navigation services require SYNC 4 and Lincoln Connect™ (optional on select vehicles), complimentary connected service, and the Lincoln Way® App (see Lincoln Way terms for details). Eligible vehicles receive a complimentary trial of navigation services that begins on the new vehicle warranty start date. Customers must unlock the navigation service trial by activating the eligible vehicle with a Lincoln Way App member account. If not subscribed by the end of the complimentary period, the connected navigation service will terminate, and the system will revert to embedded offline navigation. Connected service and features depend on compatible cellular network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent the operation of connected features.
