How do I connect SYNC®* to a Wi-Fi** network?
Connecting to a Wi-Fi network with SYNC requires you to know the password of the network you are attempting to access and inputting it into the SYNC system.
Identifying Your Lincoln's SYNC Generation
There are two resources to help you identify your vehicle's SYNC generation:
- The SYNC and Navigation Updates page allows you to enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and select Check for update, or choose Login and use your Lincoln credentials. Your current SYNC generation will appear on the right-hand side of the page.
- The SYNC Visual Reference Guide has example images of each generation of SYNC Lincoln has offered.
Connecting SYNC to Wi-Fi
Select your SYNC generation from the drop-down options below for the instructions to connect your SYNC system to Wi-Fi. If your SYNC generation is not listed, it is not capable of connecting to a Wi-Fi network.
