How do I add or delete favourite locations in my Lincoln vehicle?

You can save your home and other favourite locations and delete them using your SYNC®* or Digital Experience®** system with the steps contained in this article.

Adding or Deleting a Favourite Location

Important: Ensure your vehicle is running and in Park (P) in an open, well-ventilated, and safe area. You will be unable to set a location while your vehicle is in motion.

Select your SYNC generation from the drop-down options below to learn how to save a location to your favourites. If you need assistance determining the generation of your SYNC system, select the first drop-down option.

Note: Actual screens and instructions may vary. Refer to your Owner’s Manual for information specific to your vehicle.

Identifying Your Lincoln's SYNC Generation

Either:

  • Enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and select Check for update.
  • Log in with your Lincoln credentials, choose a vehicle from your garage, and select Check for updates.

Your SYNC generation will appear on the right side of the page.

Using your vehicle's Lincoln Digital Experience display:

  1. Click the Search bar at the top of the map screen.
  2. Enter the address.
  3. Choose the populated location.
  4. Select the Bookmark emblem. 

    Note: You must quickly tap the bookmark emblem in the top right corner to save the location, or the prompt will disappear.

Using your vehicle's Lincoln Digital Experience display:

  1. Select the Search bar at the top of the map screen.
  2. Tap Saved.
  3. Select Favourites.
  4. Choose an address from your list.
  5. Tap the Bookmark emblem.
  6. Press the Favourites checkbox to remove the address from your favourites.

    Note: You must quickly tap the bookmark emblem in the top right corner to save the location, or the prompt will disappear.

Using your phone or tablet:

  1. Open the Google Maps app.
  2. Search for a place, tap a marker, or touch and hold a spot on the map.
  3. Tap the name or address of the location.
  4. Press Save and choose a list to save the location in.

The system will save the location to your list of favourites. 

Using your phone or tablet:

  1. Open the Google Maps app.
  2. Tap the Lists icon at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select the More (three dots) icon next to the list that includes the place you want to remove.
  4. Press Edit list.
  5. Tap Remove next to the place you want to remove.

The system will remove the location from your list of favourites.

  1. Select Settings on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Press the map image.
  3. Tap the Search (magnifying glass) icon.
  4. Enter a partial destination.
  5. Tap the Search (magnifying glass) icon again.
  6. Select Address.
  7. Tap the Favourites (star) icon.
  8. Enter the name of the destination.
  9. Select Enter.
  10. Tap Save.

The system will save the location to your list of favourites.

  1. Press Navigation on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Select Saved.
  3. Swipe left on Destination.
  4. Either:
    1. Tap the Edit (pencil) icon or the Delete (trash can) icon.
    2. Press the Star (star) icon to unhighlight the destination and prevent it from being saved.

The system will remove the location from your list of favourites.

  1. Select Nav on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Choose Controls.
  3. Tap Destination.
  4. Press Favourites.
  5. Select Add a Favourite.
  6. Enter an address.
  7. Press Save.

The system will save the location to your list of favourites.

  1. Select Nav on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Choose Controls.
  3. Tap Destination.
  4. Press Favourites.
  5. Select the destination you wish to change from your Favourites list. A screen will then appear displaying a map and address for the location.
  6. Tap Edit. A screen will display the following options:
    1. Change Name
    2. Change Icon
    3. Change Location
    4. Delete
  7. Select the appropriate icon to edit or delete your destination’s information.

The system will remove the location from your list of favourites. 

SYNC with MyLincoln Touch®

Refer to the table below to learn how to add or delete a favourite location.

  1. Select the map image on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Press Dest.
  3. Choose one of the following options to find your destination:
    1. Street Address
    2. Previous Destinations
    3. Point of Interest
  4. Input a location.
  5. Press Save to Favourites.

The system will save the location to your list of favourites.

  1. Press Destinations on your vehicle's SYNC screen.
  2. Select Favourites.
  3. Locate the entry you would like to edit/delete and tap on either:
    1. Delete to remove.
    2. Edit to modify. 

The system will remove the location from your list of favourites. 

*Do not drive while distracted or while using handheld devices. Use voice-operated systems when possible. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
