How do I use Lincoln Assistant with SYNC?
Lincoln Assistant allows you to control your SYNC®* 4-equipped vehicle using conversational requests. Once enabled, you can access this feature with the Push-to-Talk button on your vehicle's steering wheel and ask questions to SYNC.
If you need assistance determining the generation of your SYNC system, select one of the two resources in the table below:

Enabling or Disabling Lincoln Assistant
To turn Lincoln Assistant on or off with SYNC 4:
- Tap Settings from your vehicle's SYNC screen.
- Choose Connectivity.
- Select Connected Vehicle Features.

Toggle the Lincoln Assistant slider to enable or disable Lincoln Assistant.
Note: You can select the “i” icon to the right of the toggle for a brief description of Lincoln Assistant.
Using Lincoln Assistant
To use Lincoln Assistant once it has been enabled:
- Press the Push-to-Talk button on your vehicle's steering wheel. You can also say a wake word if it has been set up.

Say your command or question when you see "Speak now" on your vehicle's SYNC screen. Lincoln Assistant will verbally answer with a response.
Note: If you would like to check for recalls or service updates using Lincoln Assistant, ask: "Does this car have any recalls?"
- Any open recalls or service updates will appear on the vehicle's SYNC screen.
- Once a recall has been completed, it will take a few days for the vehicle's memory to update that it has been completed.
*Don't drive while distracted or while using handheld devices. Use voice-operated systems when possible. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
