What are the SYNC 4 Navigation options?

SYNC 4®* has three types of navigation: Connected Built-In Navigation**, Connected Navigation, and smartphone navigation.

Navigation options provide live traffic with TomTom, Yelp integration, weather conditions with AccuWeather, a streaming map, and more with a subscription.

Connected Built-in Navigation (3-Year Trial)

  • Begins a 3-year free trial on the vehicle's Warranty Start Date, not the date the modem is activated
  • Reverts to Embedded Navigation with no Connected Navigation services (e.g., live traffic) if a subscription is not purchased after the trial ends
  • Updates full map yearly and "home zone" quarterly while service is active
  • Provides navigation in "cellular dead zones"
  • Receive map updates automatically through software updates during your free trial and subscribed service periods
  • Can be extended at Lincolncanada.com/connectedservices

To find out if your vehicle is equipped with Connected Built-In Navigation, log in to your Lincoln Account through Lincolncanada.com/connectedservices. You can also use the Build and Price tool to view feature availability for a new vehicle.

Connected Navigation (90-Day Trial)

  • Begins a 90-day free trial on the vehicle's Warranty Start Date, not the date the modem is activated
  • Reverts to a "moving map" with no destination routing functionality if a subscription is not purchased after the trial ends
  • Updates full map yearly and "home zone" quarterly while service is active
  • Provides navigation in "cellular dead zones"
  • Receive map updates automatically through software updates during your free trial and subscribed service periods
  • Can be extended at Lincolncanada.com/connectedservices

Smartphone Navigation

  • Offers navigation via a smartphone device with Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™
  • Does not work in "cellular dead zones"

*Don’t drive while distracted. Use voice-operated systems when possible; don’t use handheld devices while driving. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.

**Connected Built-In Navigation: Available on select vehicles. Navigation services require SYNC® 4 and Lincoln Way Connect™ (optional on select vehicles), complimentary Connected Service and the Lincoln Way™ App (see Lincoln Way Terms and Conditions for details). Eligible vehicles receive a complimentary 3-year trial of navigation services that begins on the new vehicle warranty start date. Customers must unlock the navigation service trial by activating the eligible vehicle with a Lincoln Way member account. After the complimentary trial, the connected navigation service will terminate, and the system will revert to embedded offline navigation. Connected service and features depend on compatible Bell network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent the operation of connected features.
