What is not covered by the Lincoln Warranty?

Warranty coverage is provided for any part found to be defective in factory-supplied material or workmanship during the warranty period. It does not cover damage caused by the environment or alterations and modifications, maintenance and wear items, and other conditions listed below.

  • Accidents, collisions, or objects striking the vehicle

  • Driving through water deep enough to cause water to be ingested into the engine
  • Improper maintenance
Damages Due to Use and/or the Environment
  • Stone chips, scratches
  • Dings, dents
  • Road salt, tree sap
  • Lightning, hail, windstorm
  • Earthquake
  • Freezing, water, or flood
Damages Due to Aftermarket Modifications
  • Alterations or modifications of the vehicle
  • Tampering with the vehicle
  • Installation or use of non-Ford parts or software such as oversized tires, alarm systems, automatic starting systems
Maintenance and Wear Items
  • Oil changes
  • Oils, lubricants, other fluids
  • Engine tune-up
  • Tire rotation/inflation
  • Cleaning/polishing
