What is the Lincoln warranty on corrosion?
The Corrosion Warranty covers body sheet metal panels against corrosion due to defects in factory-supplied materials and/or workmanship.
- If body sheet metal has corrosion damage without perforation, and the damage is not the result of abnormal usage and/or extreme environmental conditions, the corrosion damage repairs are covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period of 4 years/80,000 km (whichever comes first).
- Rust damage resulting in perforation (holes) in body sheet metal panels is covered for 5 years/unlimited km.
- For aluminum panels, the corrosion damage is covered for 5 years/unlimited km with no requirement for perforation.
If you have a corrosion-related concern, your Lincoln Retailer or Ford Dealer can determine if it is covered under warranty.
Refer to your Warranty Guide for more specific information.
